An update on Driving Licence Holders, Grey Aztecs, Tri Sliders, Spider Sapphire Crystals and more!

Introduction

Hello All!

Welcome back to the Weekly Newsletter!

Apologies for the absence last week, we had quite a hectic week, we had an exciting last minute prop commission come through, more on that in due course.

Part of our team were also recovering from two weeks in Barry where they did the electronics installation and final assembly of the Rubbertoe Replicas Series 4 Cream Variant Sonic Screwdrivers.

The second half of the week was taken up by getting everything we needed prepped and ready for the team to head up to Kasim's workshop, that brings us nicely onto this week.

Driving Licence Holders

Work progresses nicely on the Driving Licence Holders

The Driving Licence Holder MK3s will be the first to go out, with 4 already completed and ready to ship. We are currently working on the stands for the respective Collectors Edition orders.

The Driving Licence Holder MK1 orders are not far behind, with stitching and assembly under way. The stands are also being laser cut currently in order to be ready to ship once stitching and stamping is completed!

Grey Aztecs

The final repaints have been completed and are ready to be assembled. The previous batch which was delayed by the laser cutter are also well under way. This delayed previous batch should be heading out into the world in early August.

Once that batch is out, the final batch of the original run of Grey Aztecs will be sent out. Currently we anticipate that all Grey Aztecs will be out by the end of August.

Spider Sapphire Crystals

The clear coat on the crystals didn't quite go down the way we originally wanted. This has now been rectified and we are clear coating them again as you read this.

The stands have also been laser cut and assembled, ready for the collectors edition orders. These will be going out by the end of next week!

Cubitts Wicklow Glasses

We received some Cubitts Wicklow Glasses orders while Kas was away at Rubbertoe Replicas. These will be posted out early next week so if you've ordered recently don't fret your order will be shipped shortly!

Tri Slider Aztecs

The entire original run of the Tri Slider Aztecs have been painted now.

These will be going out in batches, as Kasim will begin fitting them in the next few weeks.

The stands have also been cast and are just awaiting inking and buffing.

The foam is also well under way in terms of being cut for the tins, and the tin vinyl will be worked on once the team returns home next week.

Postal Cube Kits

The parts for the postal cube kits are all finished and nearly ready to head out. There are a few more bits to assemble and then they will be shipping!

14th Toy Stands

Now that the laser cutter is back up and running, we have got the rest of the 14th Toy Stands cut and assembled.

These should be heading out next week!

The Birth of The Gazebooth

Whilst in Kas' workshop we constructed the almighty Gazebooth.

A state of the art (ish) spray booth that would make even Walter White proud.

Utilising a Garden Gazebo, The Gazebooth is a 3m by 3m behemoth of the painting sciences. At Little Shop Props, safety is paramount, as a wise man once said, you only get one set of lungs.

We have decked it out with air compressors, spray paint stations, drying space and extractor fans for all our painting needs. We look forward to the projects we can work on with this!

Tin Dog

Team members Dan and Matt have been working hard on a Tin dog, for our upcoming display at Brit Sci-Fi later in the year. Work is progressing nicely on it and we look forward to showing it off in its full glory in a few months time!

Most of the main construction is done and Dan has now turned his attention to the detail pieces, with James laser cutting them using our new laser cutter.
